Pope County Veterans Services were host to the annual Memorial Day event that was held on Monday, May 31st at River Valley Veterans Memorial Park located at 395 Lake Front Drive. The event began at  at 10 a.m. with a welcome by Pope County Judge Ben Cross.

Memorial Day is an American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Memorial Day 2021 will occur on Monday, May 31. 

On Thursday afternoon, May 27, the Russellville School District held an end of the year celebration recognizing the district’s Teacher of the Year and honoring retirees. The come and go event was held at 3:45 p.m. at The Center of the Arts.
