This week, Arkansas Tech Career Center (ATCC) students traveled to compete in the annual SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference that was held April 8 – 9 at the Hot Springs Convention Center in Hot Springs.

After competing in the state competition, ATCC students received  seven medals for their outstanding performances and the top placing teams advance to compete in the 55th annual SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference that will be held in Louisville, Kentucky June 24-28, 2019.

The National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC) showcases the skills and talents of career and technical education students. More than 18,000 people — including students, teachers and business partners — are expected to participate in the weeklong event.

ATCC students received the medals listed below in the following competitions.

Gold: Crime Scene Investigation

Gold: Culinary Arts

Bronze: Extemporaneous Speaking

Silver: IT Services

Bronze & Silver: Nail Care

Silver: Robotics
