Community Service, Inc. (CSI) has named Joanne Kim as the May First Tee Character Development program participant of the month. Joanne attends 4th grade at Sequoyah Elementary School and is the daughter of Seung Lee.
The program is coached by certified level II First Tee Coach Sam Taylor. “I have seen Joanne grow and improve each week through her development of target awareness by practicing full swing golf activities,” said Coach Sam. “Joanne has also done a great job learning and demonstrating the nine core values at the Par level.”
Joanne has enjoyed being a part of the CSI First Tee Character Development program. “My favorite part of the program is getting to drive the golf ball and play on the course with my friends,” said Joanne. “My favorite core value is courtesy because treating others how you would wanted to be treated is important.”
Joanne’s mother has seen positive changes since her daughter started the program. “Joanne has demonstrated more focus, patience and kindness to others,” said Seung. “I have also seen Joanne develop a passion and extended knowledge of the game of golf.”
Joanne is exploring her game at the Par level and the First Tee Nine Health Habits through the game of golf.
