Residents in the Dardanelle community were asked to join their neighbors at the Dardanelle Courthouse on Friday morning, March 3rd at 9:40 a.m. to send off the Dardanelle Sand Lizards basketball players, coaches and cheerleaders as they traveled to the 4A State Basketball Tournament in Blytheville. Everyone was encouraged to bring signs, noise makers and banners to show their Sand Lizard pride and to wish the team good luck as they travel and compete in the tournament.

Prior to the send off, the team visited Dardanelle Primary School were students gave them high fives and cheered for them.

The Dardanelle Sand Lizards will play in the quarter-finals of the State Tournament against the Brookland Bearcats at 8:30 p.m.
