Carroll Gene Burris, 86, of Russellville, passed away, Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Russellville Nursing & Rehab in Russellville.  The son of Roy and Zula Owens Burris, he was born March 25, 1933 in Dover and was a Dover High School graduate.  He was a Business Owner and pioneered the mini-storage business by opening the first storage units in Russellville.  He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, licensed aircraft mechanic, licensed electrician.   He was a past Worshipful Master of Russellville Masonic Lodge #274, past president of the Russellville Kiwanis Club in 1976-1977, Founder of the Indian Dance Team along with friends Jock Davis and Don Dover, retired Captain with the Russellville Fire Dept., a member of the River Valley Pilot's Association.  He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Russellville where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher.   He enjoyed traveling in the motor home with his wife, going to Branson, Razorback basketball games and Trout Fishing.   He was preceded in death by his wife Bobbie Ann Burris and a grandson-in-law, Andrew Pollack.

He is survived by his three sons David Burris (Debbie), Allen Burris (Debra), Bob Burris (LeAnne) all of Russellville. A daughter, Pat Milby (Alvie) of Kentucky. Six grandchildren:    Sherry Bartlett, Colorado, Heather Bartlett, Maegan Burris-Pollack, and Paige Burris all of  Russellville, Ryan Hutcheson, Matthew Hutcheson (Sarah), and a great granddaughter     Mackenzie Hutcheson all of Kentucky.    

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Humphrey Chapel.  Bro. Mike Cloud will officiate.  Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, on Saturday, at the funeral home. Ryan Hutcheson, Matthew Hutcheson, Blake Wilson, Pope County Judge, Ben Cross, Freddie Williams and Mark Johnson will serve as pallbearers. Elmer Padgett, Wayne Bradley, Jerry Whorton, Chase Smith and Jim Linker will serve as honorary pallbearers.
