On Saturday, February 18, 2023, members from Van Buren County Rescue Squad, Pope County OEM Search & Rescue, Scotland Fire Department, Arkansas Game & Fish Commission, Van Buren County 911 and Van Buren County OEM participated in a full scale exercise for a missing persons in the Ozark National Forest, in the Brock Creek Lake area. The teams participated in all phases and tasks associated with a missing persons incident. This was a unique opportunity for different agencies to work together, and a great opportunity for training for members from all agencies.
