I just wanted to send some updates on the Classroom Economy in the Financial Planning course at Russellville High School. In the Financial Planning and Wealth Management Course, students participate in a Classroom Economy simulation. Students have been earning money and paying bills, while keeping an updated checkbook register. The concept is to teach saving and budgeting habits to teens, in order for them to have a successful financial future! Throughout the semester, students have been given the opportunity to spend some of their classroom money on tangible gift cards and other prizes that have been donated by community members.

Students pictured below have chosen to spend some of their classroom money on some of these prizes, while others are saving/investing their money to see how much they could have by the end of the school year!
