At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, March 22nd, Dardanelle 911 dispatch received a 911 call reporting that someone had possibly fallen off Dardanelle Rock.
Officers with the Dardanelle Police Department responded the the location and upon their arrival, they began to search the area along with the help of the Yell County Mounted Patrol, Yell County Sheriff’s Department, Dardanelle City Fire Department, and Russellville Fire Department. While the
search for a possible victim was being conducted, Pinnacle EMS remained on standby at the scene.
After completing an extensive search of the area, no one was found.
Just after 5 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, the search was called off and all responders returned available for service.
In a recent post, the Dardanelle Police Department thanked everyone for their swift response to the area. Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.
