The Perry County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the assistance of River Valley Now readers by helping to identify an individual who broke into the Journey Church on June 1, 2020 around 2:50 p.m. Journey Church is located just south of Perryville in Perry County at 1559 Hwy 9 South.
An unidentified middle-aged white male of a medium build pulled up in a late model black Chevrolet SUV. The man attempted to pull the doors open on the church, when he realized that the doors were locked. The man then busted the north front glass door and crawled through the broken glass to make entry into the church. The subject was only in the church for a few minutes and did not take anything.
Upon leaving, the man unlocked the front glass doors and propped them open, then he left in the SUV.
If anyone has any information, if you recognize the man or know who he is, please contact the Perry County Sheriff’s Office at 501-889-3309.
The following surveillance video was captured of the incident.
