The Russellville Police Department continues their investigation of an early morning collision that occurred on East Main Street injuring four people. 

On Wednesday morning, February 12, at approximately 5:42 a.m., Russellville Police, the Russellville Fire Department and Pope County EMS responded to the 300 block of East Main Street in reference to a motor vehicle accident with injury. 

According to the Russellville Police Department, it appears that a 2014 Ford Focus was traveling eastbound on East Main when the driver lost control and entered the oncoming westbound traffic lane and was struck by a 2009 Buick Enclave.

As a result of the accident, three occupants from the Ford Focus and one occupant from the Buick Enclave were transported to Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center for treatment. 

At this time, no further details into the crash have been released and the accident is still under investigation. As more information is released, River Valley Now will update readers.
