After two collisions involving semi’s occurred on Interstate 40 early Wednesday morning, September 16, a third collision reportedly occurred near the 68 mile marker.
At approximately 8 a.m. this morning, the Arkansas State Police, Pafford Medical Services of Clarksville, Johnson County EMS, Lamar Fire, Knoxville Fire Departments responded to a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Interstate 40 at the 68 mile marker eastbound. The collision involved two semi trucks and two patients were transported from the scene for injuries they sustained in the crash.
For a period of time, eastbound traffic through the area of the 68 mile marker was reduced to one lane.
