Clarksville anthers

Clarksville 40, Dardanelle 26

In senior girls action Clarksville (10-3, 3-0) overcame a sluggish start that lasted into the third quarter.  The game between the two river valley squads was close for three quarters, but business picked up for the Lady Panthers to distance themselves from the Lady Sand Lizards.  Clarksville used an 11-0 run stretching from late in the third to early in the fourth to take a 30-19 lead.  Back to back three-pointers by sophomore Autumn Miller spurred on the Lady Panthers in that 11-0 run.  Coach Randy Talley said of that run at the end of the third quarter, "We really had the bench in--we had four subs in at the time.  We talked in the locker room that was the key.  We had two big energy stops by our point guards Higby and Tibbs--just pressure at the top. That kind of got us going."  The Lady Panthers travel to Beebe Tuesday Night 12-18.
