The Pottsville Lady Apaches defeated the Harrison Lady Goblins 71-58 inside of Goblin Arena Monday night.

Pottsville hit 10 treys from seven different players early as they took a 17-14 lead after the first quarter.

Pottsville made three triples in the quarter while Harrison would score exclusively from two point range. The Lady Apaches extended their lead contributing three more three point baskets in the second and out scoring the Lady Goblins 25-17 to take a 42-31 halftime lead.

The Lady Apaches hot shooting slowed down in the third as they tacked on three more 3-point shots and 20 more points to Harrison's 12 to take a 62-43 lead into the fourth.

The final quarter is where the offense would stall only scoring 9 points in the quarter but it would be enough to keep the Lady Goblins at bay and take the game 71-58.

Scoring for the Lady Apaches were Lindsey Aday with 15, Layla Stroud with nine, Annleigh Pennington with eight, Harmony Garner with eight, Sara Beth Francis, Rilee underwood and Tori Daniel each with seven. Tori Smith scored five, Alyson Greathouse scored three and Riley Boley scored two.

Pottsville moved to 4-1 on the season and will play Batesville Southside in the first round of the Quitman Fast Break Tournament Monday November 29 at 4 p.m.
